Urban Environmental Solutions was nominated and won the category for Policy in Education at the 2018 Stormwater Queensland Awards.

 

The winning nomination was for the Practical Application of Australian Rainfall & Runoff Conference Series. The state-wide conference series was a joint project between Urban Environmental Solutions, Rocla and Social Ocean, and as such all three businesses are co-recipients of the award.

Conference content included the step by step process to apply the updated requirements from ARR 2016 for both rural and urban catchments, covering multiple software to ensure attendees had options to generate the output for inclusion in a flood study or stormwater management plan. Additionally, content included how to assess a storm water management plan from a Council perspective, to allow attendees to be aware of the current expectations.
